Description MB Maschinenbau ROBA Duplex edge sanding machine
ROBA Duplex uses a split sanding belt with slots. 100 mm long sanding brushes with the desired grit are inserted from the top and bottom into these slots.
This system allows the use of two different grits simultaneously, for example K120 grit on the top for coarse sanding and K240 grit on the bottom for fine sanding or preparation for varnishing. The pneumatic lifting between the sanding zones is carried out via a switch, thus eliminating the need for time-consuming adjustments when changing the work process.
The system is based on a sanding belt, not on cylindrical brushes. The advantage over cylindrical tools is obvious: the belt ensures a flat, undulating sanding. The parts are pressed directly onto the sanding belt, without the need for laborious manual guiding of them past the tool. This leads to significantly shorter processing times and higher sanding quality. The constant oscillation of the unit ensures even wear of the abrasive material and reduces the visibility of sanding marks.
For companies that need higher production capacity, MB has developed the Twin Duplex model. This machine has a sanding belt accessible from both sides and, being equipped with two work tables, can be operated simultaneously by two operators.
For long workpieces, such as table tops, MB offers the ROBA Duplex XL model, which has a working area of approximately 1950 mm. For high workpieces, such as drawers, the ROBA Duplex variant with a sanding area of 350 mm is available.

Why do I recommend DaniBrum? In 2020, I purchased a circular saw with a mobile table and inches, the Lohmayer FKS320IQ brand, and a Holzmann KAM 215EPS abs edge banding machine. Both machines are industrial and I use them every day, cutting around 25-30 chipboards and edging them as well. Some time ago, I decided to increase my working capacity and buy 2 new machines from the company, 1 Circular saw with a mobile table and T45 parallel ruler, and 1 Automatic abs edge banding machine with pre-milling and rounding at the ends, KAM215ALL. I am very satisfied with both the products and the overall purchasing experience. The machines are well built and offer excellent working precision. The performance is beyond expectations, and the intuitive settings make use easy even for less experienced operators.
