BIFE SIM 2022 – conclusions
After almost two weeks of BIFE-SIM 2022, we can finally share some thoughts about this long-awaited fair.
A fair that did not impress by its size, but by the quality and desire to learn and share news from both exhibitors and customers.
It was a real pleasure to meet up with old customers and meet new ones, who are coming up with increasingly bold ideas and projects, where the need for machines with efficient production capacity is imperative.
The expectations of our entire group of companies, DANIBRUM, UNILIFT and BEN-JON, were exceeded, and the discussions held will turn into successful projects.
Once again, we thank all the visitors who came to see us, as well as those who sent us their good wishes through online and offline channels.
As an industry pioneer, with companies started 20 years ago becoming the major players in the industry today, we know how important novelty and vision for the future are. With this in mind, we have pursued the element of novelty for every trade fair we have attended.
This year, among other equipment, we presented a machine unique on the Romanian market for its ability to apply edge banding at 45 degrees: the Lohmeyer KAM Rapid+ 7X.

Moreover, the edge application is performed at high speeds, in two versions: partial 45 degree edge application and full 45 degree edge application. The machine also offers the advantage of productivity in terms of the fact that the boards to be processed do not have to be cut at an angle beforehand, the pre-milling operation being performed by the machine.
In addition to the very affordable purchase cost, the machine stands out for its industrial stability and extensive working capabilities.
A second novelty, and one of real interest, was the automatic brush sanding and structuring machine Danibrum DASP104. At first glance it looks like any other sanding unit, but its strength lies in the automation developed by Danibrum's technicians. This feature considerably increases the value the customer receives relative to the cost of the machine, which is already very good.

The possibility of individual adjustment of each sanding group together with the possibility of memorizing predefined work programs, take this machine to an increased level of productivity. By pressing a single button on the touchscreen, the machine automatically adjusts to the preset heights, thus increasing the degree of anticipation of the final result. Also, another advantage is represented by the possibility of sanding primed or painted elements.
Besides these two machines that attracted real interest, we presented one of our CNC routers, used for producing MDF fronts, tables and nesting. Its carefully designed components work together so well that the final results speak for themselves. Customers were able to see and test each machine,
to convince themselves how easy they are to use.
Other conventional machines shown on our stand included the sliding table saws from Holzmann and Rema, the Holzmann spindle moulder, the Maggi power feeder, the multiple boring machine, and the local dust and sawdust extractors from AcWord and Holzmann.
Another novelty is the combined jointer and thicknesser with spiral cutterhead, the Holzmann HOB305 PRO-SMW. We have written at length about the advantages of the spiral cutterhead here.
We are working to make every machine that leaves our showroom more energy efficient, a subject raised by most of the customers we spoke with. The ever-rising cost of energy is becoming a considerable share of a product's final cost, which naturally leads to a desire for energy-efficient equipment. Here too, DANIBRUM is very well positioned, offering solutions compatible with any workshop or factory in Romania.
The continuing deterioration of the industry, and with it the economy, has brought us to the discussion table, and various meetings have been organized with senior state officials. These meetings aim to stabilize the situations caused by the pandemic's aftermath and by the global events we are facing. The immense cost of electricity, restricted access to timber, and the low predictability of the processing sector were among the topics raised. In addition to the promises made by the Minister of Economy and the Minister of Environment, we, together with the Romanian Furniture Manufacturers' Association and a small number of equipment suppliers, have committed to a joint effort to find practical solutions with a rapid impact on Romanian manufacturers. We are aware that only together can we overcome these troubled times, because together we have managed to grow over our 25 years of existence.
To see and test other woodworking machines, we invite you to our showroom in Comănești, Bacău, where we constantly keep more than 100 machines in stock that can be tried out with your own materials. The solutions developed with our international partners are tailored specifically to the Romanian industry, precisely to match the needs of each individual customer.
We thank you all for the recommendations you constantly make and assure you of our continued support in all the joint activities you undertake.
