MAGGI System Prestige 21 multi-drilling machine – general features

Pneumatically operated material pressing devices.

• Possibility of individual adjustment, in height and depth, of the entire pressing assembly.
• Equipped with 2 graduated, removable rulers 1500 mm each, made of aluminum. The two linear ones can be joined to form a whole of 3000 mm.
• Working dimensions are easy to adjust and read, using the magnifying glasses on the graduated rulers mounted on the upper part of the table.
• The rulers can be positioned at the back of the machine, allowing the processing of large workpieces.
• All operations are performed simply and quickly, providing processing safety.

SYSTEM type machines

• It offers the possibility of performing any drilling operation in vertical, horizontal or inclined positions, thanks to the 0 – 90 tilting and locking system⁰.
• This system is pneumatically operated, via a switch positioned at the front of the machine.
• Adjusting the machining angle is simple, by setting the desired angle on the dedicated graduated ruler. This is done as follows:
  • raises the drilling assembly to 90⁰;
  • the desired angle is set;
  • the air is released via the switch, the assembly stopping at the previously set angle.
• Two removable side devices, which facilitate the mounting of aluminum rulers and the reading of dimensions using magnifying glasses;
• Sliding the aluminum rulers is effortless;
• Angle adjustment device with graduated scale;
• Solid construction, very robust and comfortable to use;
• The operator has very good access to all controls, managing to operate the targeted holes in optimal processing times;

Linear made of aluminum

• Transverse linear, made of aluminum, which slides easily through 2 bearings arranged on each side;
• It slides over a length between 0 – 40 cm;
• Possibility of mounting removable linear guides directly on the transverse linear guide, a feature that allows the processing of large parts: furniture doors, sides, etc.;
• At the same time, the large linear (3000 mm) can be mounted lengthwise, for longitudinal drilling;
• Productivity is improved, with all sizing operations preparatory to processing being carried out quickly and effortlessly;
• The possibility of connecting aluminum rails offers the possibility of drilling the sides of wardrobes or other long elements;
• Allows drilling at any angle between 0° – 90°;
• The angle drive of the drilling group is carried out pneumatically;
• The entire assembly slides safely;
• Thanks to the 640 mm distance between the external chucks and the generous work table, it allows drilling two 316 mm panels simultaneously, in a horizontal plane;
• In the vertical plane, holes can be drilled in long panels, in multiple work cycles;
• Millimeter adjustment of drilling unit.

21 quick chucks

• The Prestige 21 system is equipped with 21 drilling positions, which can drill simultaneously or according to the previously chosen configuration;
• 5 quick-change chucks in the standard configuration;
• The drill diameter is 10 mm;
• The axes are equipped with a quick-clamp clamping system for easy changing of Ø 10mm straight shank drills;
• The distance between the axles is 32 mm;
• The standard equipment includes 5 chucks;
• The operation is extremely simple, with a single electropneumatic pedal, which controls the wood pressing systems and the drilling head advance system in a timed manner;
• The adjustment of the drills in relation to the table is done by the analog display of the height;
• The feed speed can be adjusted with a throttle on the control panel, which allows drilling both chipboard and solid wood where lower speeds are recommended;
• Programming and adjusting the drilling depth in the horizontal and vertical planes is done using a spiral screw, patented by Maggi, covering the entire range of lengths;
• Choose the type of drill bit, the drilling depth which is read directly on the graduated scale, rotate the spiral, positioning the transparent index at the required depth and lock the spiral using the handle.
